Spain sets the Digital Nomad Visa threshold as multiples of its minimum wage, and the bar rises with every person who applies with you. Write in your household and your gross monthly income. The result gives the answer, the margin, and the exact figures the UGE will compare you against.

Thresholds are multiples of the 2026 minimum wage, taken as its twelve-payment monthly equivalent, the reading the UGE applies. They move whenever Spain revises the SMI.

What the UGE asks for as proof

W‑2 employees: your employment contract, the payslips for the three months before filing, and the employer letter stating your salary in euros. The salary on the payslips is what counts.
Freelancers (1099): the service contract with each client and the invoices for the three months before filing. The UGE reads a steady pattern across those three months, not one strong month.
Founders: the salary or distributions you draw, documented for the three months before filing, plus the company’s incorporation papers. The company must have been operating for at least a year.
Bank certificate: issued and stamped or signed by your bank, covering those same three months, with each salary or invoice payment marked. Statements printed from online banking do not meet the description.
Savings, if income falls short: a bank certificate of savings covering the difference for the whole validity of the permit.
