What documentation Spain accepts

W-2 employees: Last 3 payslips + employment contract + employer authorization letter. Income is taken as your regular salary.
Freelancers (1099): Average of last 12 months' net income shown via bank statements, invoices, or tax returns. One strong month is not enough — Spain wants to see a consistent pattern.
Founders: Last 3 months of distributions or salary plus company accounts. Spain may request company bank statements and proof the company has been operational for at least 1 year.
Bank statements: Last 3 months showing income deposits, regardless of type.
U.S. tax returns (last 2 years): Strongly recommended for all applicants. Shows a history of income at the required level.
